1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the EventPing extension ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

EventPing is a browser extension that:

• Scans your Gmail for event registration links
• Detects registration forms on websites you visit
• Stores URLs locally for your reference
• Sends notifications about pending registrations

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• Configuring the Extension settings appropriately
• Complying with event registration deadlines
• Verifying registration links before submitting personal information

4. Gmail API Usage

The Extension uses Gmail API with read-only access (gmail.readonly). You grant the Extension permission to:

• Read unread emails matching your configured filters
• Extract URLs from email content
• Store email IDs locally to avoid re-processing

You can revoke this permission anytime at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

5. Data Storage and Privacy

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage APIs. The Extension:

• Does not send data to external servers
• Does not collect analytics or tracking data
• Does not share your information with third parties

6. Google API Quota Limits

The Extension is subject to Gmail API quota limits set by Google. If daily quota is exceeded:

• The Extension will stop checking emails until the next day
• A notification will inform you of the quota limit
• No emails will be missed (checks resume automatically)

7. No Warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Detection of all registration forms or deadlines
• Accuracy of extracted URLs
• Uninterrupted operation
• Compatibility with all websites

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

• Missed registration deadlines
• Incorrect or broken URLs
• Loss of data due to browser issues
• Quota-related service interruptions
• Third-party website behavior

9. Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with:

• Google Gmail API - subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Event registration websites (Eventbrite, Luma, etc.) - subject to their respective terms

We are not responsible for third-party service changes or outages.

10. Open Source

The Extension is open source under MIT License. Source code available at: https://github.com/devppratik/EventPing-extension

11. Modifications to Service

We may:

• Update the Extension with new features or bug fixes
• Modify these Terms with notice via extension updates
• Discontinue the Extension at any time

12. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by:

• Uninstalling from your browser
• Revoking Gmail API access at Google account settings
• Clearing all stored data via the Settings page
